German Language Missing.

In today news, I still can’t get the german installer for FEAR or FEAR Combat.

but I think I can trick the 1.08 updater to install on top of the english version with some registry hacks.

Will try tomorrow. For now I reinstalled the VM to extract the language packs. I hope I can have more time to work on this.

Server List is almost complete, only needs some visual tweaks.

Will work more on this tomorrow 🙂

New FEAR Combat Launcher update (2012-11-01)

Updates today:

  • Read/write of the CDKey works 100% now (Doesn’t need admin rights)
  • If the key.ini file doesn’t exist, It’s created automatically.
  • If the path to the key.ini file doesn’t exists, It creates It automatically.
  • If no key is found, It asks for It.
  • Shows loading message to let user know It’s working.
  • home/multiplayer/profile sections are complete.

New FEAR Combat Launcher coming soon

I started working on It, this time It’s a Win32 exe, so It will have all the required features we couldn’t Implement in the existing one.

The features we will include are:

  • AutoUpdate.
  • Advanced Configuration tool.
  • Working Language switcher.
  • Better CDKey update tool.
  • Improved server list with filter and arrange features.
  • Working (again) News section.
  • Working FEAR-Community profile linking.
  • Run Game as Administrator (Implemented).

What is already implemented? Well, nothing. But I know how to implement everything, only need time ( yeah, that’s the bad news ). I hope we can release this for 2013/01/01, but who knows.

Update:

Already implemented some of the features.  Most of the old functionality already works, except for the CDKey update, will work on that later!

FEAR Combat – Download and get new CD Key

FEAR Combat is a free multiplayer FPS game, Is the multiplayer component of F.E.A.R., best game of 2005.

Released as free to play in 2007, has a active community supporting It, even when Sierra (Activision) and WBGames stopped It’s support several months ago, removed most of the downloads from the official site and stopped giving away new keys (required for playing online).

Starting 2012, you can play the game with the new Installer and key system, made by the community, but If you have the old game and key you can still play It! How do you get It?

Download the 1.08 full Installer (English) (more languages coming soon).

Register or login to get the (required) FEAR Combat CDKey.

The best of all this is, there’s an active support behind It, so If you run on trouble getting It to work, they can help you with It (I’m included there ^_^ ).

If you want to try a gameplay different to CoD and other pseudorealistic war games, this is your best choice.
